Clear Perception on Trump’s Agenda

On Monday my three kids and myself took a 600 mile long road trip just so we can attend Donald Trumps Rally in Youngstown, Ohio. To begin with, I just want to say that I am still an undecided voter and my decision is split between Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump. I went to this rally because for the last year (at times it feels like ten years) or so Donald Trump has been dominating the media and I wanted to find out for myself why. Now, I am not sure if I became interested in Trump solely on his message or because he has been crammed down my throat for some time. However, regardless of why or how I grew interested in Donald Trump the fact is there is this nagging, at times irritating nudge I feel to have to understand his message more. Monday morning I read that a rally would be taking place in Ohio. Being that I have been craving a road trip for a while now, this just seemed to be a great opportunity to take that road trip and hear for myself what Donald Trump has to say. So, by 10:30 A.M. I was picking my two younger kids up at school, had my twenty year old with me and off to Ohio we went.

I have to say, the entire experience was awesome and I am so glad my kids were able to be a part of it. The Youngstown Ohio rally went very well with no drama for the cameras. I am not going to write any more about the rally itself because my focus here is the clear message Donald Trump is delivering to the American people, to us. Also, I am not going to bother writing on my thoughts on his message but I am definitely going to share my perception of Trump’s message. It is up to each of us to decide if his message is what we want or need as a nation and as an individual. I can say this, even though Donald Trump does not directly say word for word what I understand his message to be, his message is clear and I am simply putting it out there in laymen’s terms.

Since Donald Trump repeats himself often we know part of his message is that he is a Business Man. You can hear him refer to himself as such over and over again. Last night on CNN after the poll results were in, Trump in his press conference said what we need to succeed in money, he even ended that sentence with, “I hate to say it”. (I am not going to cite this blog but you can find this online) Right here Donald Trump is letting us know that his main objective is to get America rich again. He has bragged nearly every time he speaks about how much money he has and how great of a Business Man he is. Another thing he keeps saying is how he knows people and will hire the right people to do the right job. With just these three phrases Trump’s message is very clear to me.

Donald Trump being the Business Man he is, intends on running America in a businesslike manner. He explains in detail of how he will conduct foreign trade and other factors that will keep and make money in America. Trump does not pretend to know everything about running the White House therefore, when asked how he will preform a job he knows nothing about, he says that he knows the right people to do the right jobs. We do not really hear Donald Trump claim to know everything there is to know about being President of the United States. In-fact, he is pretty honest about not being a politician, in a plentiful way he reminds us that he is a Business Man not a politician. He seems to have three main focuses: Trade, Immigration and Military Strength. In a nut shell Trump’s stance on presidency is to be a strong military, super rich, non-Muslim,  force to be reckoned with. Power, Money and Fame – because Donald Trump whether you like him or not, has grown into an International known name and character.

I still remain undecided in my vote and I hope to attend a rally of Hilary Clinton’s in the coming months. But, I have been able to think more about Donald Trumps intentions and goals. Sadly Trump is correct in saying that in order to be great again we need money to do that. Since I heard him say this last night I keep thinking about it because deep down I agree with him. Yet, there is no clarity on Trump’s thoughts on American allies, education, health care, pay scale, all the personal things that matter to me as a human being. So I remain split. If the country does in-fact become as rich as Trump suggests it will then I know that it will or at least should benefit me in someway. Another thing I keep thinking about is the possibility of being at odds with many other countries. This is very scary and a real possibility if Donald Trump becomes president after-all, his goal in building the strongest military is not for nothing.

Well, I guess I will continue to listen to all five candidates currently running with the hopes of connecting enough to one so that I can vote. The last thing I want to do is not be fully satisfied with the candidate I am voting for because I ran out of time thinking of my choice. I will admit that I have not been a fan of Ted Cruz however, he has also been making some great claims for a better America. Sanders with his free education and health care sounds pretty awesome too. I don’t know, this presidential year has proven to be a difficult one for me to make decision on a nominee. The next few weeks I will be reading some other WordPress blogs that engage in the pleasant conversation of our agreements and disagreements of the candidates. Hopefully reading some of your stuff out there I can gain more insight on the people running for president to this great country we all call home.
